Importance of backing up your WordPress Website

WordPress is an amazing free software, which is classed as an opensource software.

What this means is that the whole software can be downloaded , installed and used by anyone.

There are more PROS than CONS for using WordPress.

However, what makes WordPress great, is that developers CAN create new and innovative functionality that allows us to do more with the system because it is opensource.

The downside however, is that BAD developers (Hackers) also have access  to the same coding and can create  malicious coding or look for vulnerabilities in the same way.

WordPress is said to have had 455 MILLION active sites in 2021.  Which it’s understandable why it may be targeted.

However, there’s lots we can do to mitigate the risks.  One of those includes keeping your site up to date & taking regular backups of our site.
